Controlled deployment
RoomHex runs on infrastructure your organization operates, behind your own domain. You decide where it lives and how it is updated, instead of accepting a vendor's shared cloud and its schedule.
The platform, not a rented seat
RoomHex is a platform your organization deploys and governs, with a working real-time media core today and a broad, well-planned path to teaching, shared media, and branch-level administration.
Why this is a platform
A rented meeting seat lives on someone else's service and rules. RoomHex is a platform your organization runs, with control over deployment, policy, and where every session takes place.
RoomHex runs on infrastructure your organization operates, behind your own domain. You decide where it lives and how it is updated, instead of accepting a vendor's shared cloud and its schedule.
RoomHex is designed so organization owners set policy, local admins apply it per site, and each branch stays within it. Governance is a designed capability, planned to grow with your structure.
One environment is built to carry meetings and calls today, and to grow into teaching, synchronized media, and interactive rooms. Your people learn one platform instead of switching between separate tools.
The runtime path uses no paid external service. Sessions, media, and administration stay inside your boundary, so you are not renting the moving parts your daily work depends on.
Self-hosted control
The RoomHex media core is real and self-hosted today. It runs on components your organization operates, with secure admission for every session and relay fallback for hard networks, so calls and meetings stay on infrastructure you control.
How a session flows
RoomHex is built around a full working cycle. Some steps run today on the real media core, while others are designed to arrive as the platform rolls out.
Set up a meeting, class, or shared session ahead of time and put it on the calendar for the right people, so everyone knows when and where to join.
Invite guests or approve join requests at the door. Secure admission control checks every participant before they can obtain media, so only approved people enter a session.
Run the live session with host controls, screen share, chat, and raise hand today, and grow into structured classes and synchronized media as those experiences roll out.
Recording and post-session outcomes are designed to gather transcripts, summaries, decisions, and action items into one place, so a live session becomes a lasting record you can revisit.
Organization and branch controls are designed so admins review activity, adjust policy, and manage users and permissions from one console, keeping every site within the organization's rules.
The full platform scope
Here is the whole platform from a buyer's view, with each area marked by what is working today and what is designed for the roadmap.
Working today. One to one and group audio and video with host controls, join approval, screen share, in-meeting chat, and raise hand, carried by a real self-hosted media core.
Working core today. Create and join meeting rooms with participant grid, picture in picture, join approval, and mic and camera control, so structured meetings run on real infrastructure you host.
Designed. A classroom experience is planned to give teachers attendance, hand raise, polls, quizzes, breakout rooms, and lecture replay, turning a plain call into structured teaching. This area is not shipping yet.
Designed. Smart Sync Cinema is planned to keep playback aligned for everyone in a shared session, with reactions and coordinated pauses, and to apply content-owner rights, consent, and playback policy first.
Designed. A content library is planned with tokenized playback and no direct file links, described modestly. It is built to deter end users from copying, not to promise absolute protection against every party.
Designed. Post-session outcomes, recording, and organization and branch governance are planned so admins capture results and manage policy, users, and permissions from one console. These controls are on the roadmap, not shipping.
Integrations
Integrations are planned, not shipping. RoomHex is designed to connect with identity, calendar, storage, and reporting systems in a provider-neutral way, so it fits into the tools your organization already operates.
